Produced by Michael Croiter, the recording will be available beginning May 28 on Amazon and iTunes. For additional information and to pre-order the recording, visit www.yellowsoundlabel.com.

The recording will feature the original Off-Broadway cast, including Tony Award nominee John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story, In the Heights) and Tony Award nominee Will Swenson (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hair).

As previously reported, the upcoming nine-week return engagement will begin May 7 with an official opening May 22.

The production will feature three three cast members from the MTC run, Conlee, Jones and Swenson, who will be joined by Caissie Levy. Levy will play the role of Sara, the part originated by Tony winner Karen Olivo, who recently announced via a blog posting that she is "starting over."

Murder Ballad, which recently received five Lucille Lortel nominations, including Best Musical, was conceived by Jonathan Larson Award winner and two-time Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist Julia Jordan with book and lyrics by Jordan and music and lyrics by indie rock singer/songwriter Juliana Nash. Drama Desk Award nominee Trip Cullman directs. "A love triangle gone wrong," Murder Ballad, according to press notes, "centers on Sara, an Upper West Sider who seems to have it all, but whose downtown past lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her. This sexy, explosive new musical explores the complications of love, the compromises we make, and the betrayals that can ultimately undo us."

The creative team includes Mark Wendland (scenic design), Jessica Pabst (costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Leon Rothenberg (sound design), Doug Varone (choreography) and Justin Levine (music director, vocal arranger and orchestrator).

The musical is being produced at the Union Square Theatre by Manhattan Theatre Club Productions, Inc.; Niclas Nagler; Richard Frankel; Tom Viertel; Steven Baruch; Marc Routh; Simone Genatt Haft; Scott M. Delman; and Susanne Adamski.

Tickets are available by visiting Ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 982-2787. Starting April 29, the Union Square Theatre Box Office (100 East 17th Street) will sell tickets, which are priced $80 for performances Monday-Thursday and $90 for performances Friday-Sunday. Rush policies will be announced shortly.
