News Original "Saved By the Bell" and Bayside! Actor Arrested on Weapons Charge Actor Dustin Diamond, who originated the role of Screech in the 1990s television series "Saved by the Bell" and also appeared in the Off-Broadway musical parody of the sitcom, has been arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, according to ABC News.

Diamond was arrested Dec. 26 in Wisconsin for alleged possession of a switchblade, recklessly endangering safety and carrying a concealed weapon. The actor previously appeared in the Off-Broadway "Saved by the Bell" parody, Bayside! The Musical earlier this year. National Lampoon presents the run that plays Theatre 80 (80 St. Mark’s Place).

The musical is billed as follows, "Bayside! tackles all the tough questions: Will Zack and Kelly break up? Will Slater quit wrestling forever? Screech die? This show has it all: brick-sized cell phones, homoerotic wrestling, abject feminism, sexy ducks covered in oil, Trapper Keepers, and the perils of caffeine addiction."
