Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham (currently starring in Atlantic's world-premiere production of Almost an Evening) and Emmy winner Kristen Johnston (seen earlier this season in the Atlantic's world premiere of Scarcity) will co-host the evening at the Rainbow Room high atop Rockefeller Plaza. The annual gala, press notes state, will "deliver an original tribute to the genre of musical adaptations while celebrating the accomplished history of the award-winning Off-Broadway theatre company." Performers will be announced shortly.

The evening will begin at 6:30 PM with cocktails and music, followed by dinner at 7:30 PM and the star-studded performance and live auction at 9 PM.

Proceeds from the Gala will benefit Atlantic's new play development programs and its growing Arts Education and Outreach programs. Neil Pepe is the artistic director of the Atlantic Theatre Company; Andrew D. Hamingson is managing director.

The Rainbow Room is located in Manhattan at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on the 65th floor. Tickets, priced $2,000-$20,000, are available by calling (212) 691-5919, ext. 1088 or by e-mailing [email protected].
