News Oscar Winner Harden Climbs "The Tower" for CBS Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden has been cast in a new dramatic pilot for CBS, entitled "The Tower."

According to Variety, the newsroom-set pilot finds Harden as a millionaire who buys the newspaper, which is at the center of the new drama. "The Tower" will also feature Cole Hauser, CCH Pounder and Rosamund Pike as part of a team of reporters who not only cover the news, but also help solve the mysteries behind the story.

"The Tower" is executive produced by Meredith Stiehm and Davis Guggenheim.

Harden earned an Academy Award for her role in the 2000 film "Pollack." A Tony nominee for Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, Harden appeared in Angels in America: Perestroika on Broadway as well as in the starry 2001 Delacorte staging of The Seagull. She was Emmy-nominated for "Law and Order: SVU," and has appeared in the films "Into the Wild," "Mystic River," "Miller's Crossing," "Used People," "The Spitfire Grill" and "The First Wives Club."
