"I am going to do a play on Broadway," Weisz told host Aled Jones. "It's confirmed. I've never done Broadway [so I'm] very excited. [Broadway has] this mythical shine about it." 

Although Weisz did not reveal the project that she will be working on, it was previously reported that the actress has been in talks to star opposite husband Daniel Craig in a Broadway revival of Harold Pinter's time-bending drama Betrayal — staged by Tony and Academy Award-winning director Mike Nichols.

Weisz would portray Emma, who is having an affair with her husband's best friend. Craig would portray Robert, her husband. Potential casting for the role of the friend, Jerry, was not reported.

Nichols recently staged the celebrated Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.

Craig ("Skyfall," "Casino Royale," "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") last appeared on Broadway in A Steady Rain.

Weisz, who took home the 2006 Oscar for her performance in "The Constant Gardener," has been seen on stage in the Donmar Warehouse revival of A Streetcar Named Desire, for which she took home the 2010 Olivier Award and Critics' Circle Theatre Award. Her film work also includes "The Mummy," "The Fountain" and "About a Boy," among others.

Pinter's 1978 drama travels in reverse dramatic order as it explores a hidden love affair. It premiered on Broadway in 1979 with Blythe Danner, Raul Julia and Roy Schneider. A 2000 revival featured Juliette Binoche, Liev Schreiber and John Slattery.
