Dec. 30: Oskar Eustis, artistic director of New York's Public Theater, talks about his first four years in the chair once occupied by Joseph Papp. He talks about the Public's commitment to new plays, its initiative to originate more musicals, the effects of the Bernard Madoff scandal on the theatre's fundraising, and his opinion of a recent study that showed the audience for straight plays may be declining.
