Robert Egan helms the acclaimed drama about a Republican family whose holiday celebration is derailed when their liberal daughter arrives with her new memoir that seeks to unveil a painful secret. Other Desert Cities will officially open Dec. 9 for a run through Jan. 6, 2013.

Golden Globe Award nominee Williams ("Poltergeist," "The Big Chill") stars as family matriarch Polly Wyeth opposite Foxworth (Inherit the Wind, Twelve Angry Men) as her husband, Lyman. Michael Weston (Extinction, Snakebit) is cast as Trip Wyeth, with Robin Weigert ("Sons of Anarchy," Angels in America) as Brooke Wyeth and Golden Globe nominee Jeannie Berlin ("Margaret," After the Night and the Music) as Silda Grauman.

Baitz's play debuted in an extended, sold-out run Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse in 2010 and transferred to Broadway Oct. 12, 2011. It ended its extended Broadway run June 17, 2012. A combination of explosive dramatic revelations and acidic comic barbs, the play marked playwright Baitz's Broadway debut. He earned a Tony Award nomination for his work.

Other Desert Cities has scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Alex Jaeger, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu and sound design by Adam Phalen.

Baitz's plays include The Paris Letter, Ten Unknowns, Mizlansky/Zilinsky or Schmucks, A Fair Country, The Film Society, The Substance of Fire, The End of the Day and Three Hotels. He has also written the screenplays for "The Substance of Fire" and "People I Know" as well as for TV's "Brothers & Sisters" (which he created), "The West Wing" and "Alias."
