The world premiere of Israel Horovitz’s Out of the Mouths of Babes officially opens June 19 at the Cherry Lane Theatre starring Oscar winner and five-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons and two-time Tony winner Judith Ivey. In the new comedy, which began previews June 7, four women arrive in Paris for the funeral of a 100-year-old man who loved each of them.
The production also stars Angelina Fiordellisi and Francesca Choy-Kee, with direction by Barnet Kellman. Following an extension announcement, it will now play through July 31.
“For 24 hours, they share his apartment, delicious secrets, and a dead cat,” state press notes.
The creative team includes scenic designer Neil Patel, costume designer Joseph G. Aulisi, lighting designer Paul Miller and Tony-winning sound designer Leon Rothenberg.
