News Over a Dozen Actors Sing 1776 Tunes, Starting Tonight 54 Below celebrates the July 4th weekend with 54 Sings 1776, featuring songs from Broadway's Tony Award-winning Independence Day musical by Sherman Edwards.

Performances are July 4 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM and July 5 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM.

Directed by Lucia Spina and hosted by Rob Maitner with musical direction by Jacob Yates, the evening features the talents of Michael Halling, Jacob Hoffman, Maitner, Daniel Marcus, David Alan Marshall, Michael McCormick, Patrick Mellen, Kathleen Monteleone, Brian Charles Rooney, Andrew Samonsky, Adam Shapiro, Spina and Paul Michael Valley.

1776, according to press notes, "brings to life the trials and tribulations of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and the Continental Congress as they set upon creating a new nation."
