A replacement for Pantoliano will be announced in the coming weeks. Hartford Stage associate artistic director Jeremy B. Cohen will direct Mistakes, which will play the Connecticut venue Oct. 29-Nov. 29.

Mistakes Were Made, according to press notes, "centers on show-biz veteran Felix Artifex, a low-brow theatrical producer infamous for his production of Medea with Suzanne Somers. A desperate Felix gets in way over his fast-talking head when he takes on Mistakes Were Made, the first world premiere of his long and checkered career. Mistakes is a gargantuan epic of the French Revolution which Felix thinks is going to be his ticket to professional and personal redemption, but it turns out to be a croissant-lined highway to hell! Maybe, just maybe, if Felix can pull it all together — things just might, maybe, work out."

The newly announced creative team comprises Walt Spangler (set design), Marcus Doshi (lighting design), Alejo Vietti (costume design) and Obadiah Eaves (sound design). The production stage manager will be Christina Lowe.

Pantoliano's numerous screen credits include his Emmy-winning work on "The Soprano," as well as "The Fugitive," "The Matrix," "Goonies," "Risky Business," "Midnight Run," "Bound" and "Memento." He also appeared in the original Broadway production of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Tickets are now available by calling (860) 527-5151 or by visiting www.hartfordstage.org.
