The season at the New Jersey venue will launch with a Broadway-bound revival of Cole Porter's Can-Can, which introduces a brand-new book to accompany the Porter score. David Lee will direct with choreography by Patti Colombo.

The holiday musical Elf will make its Paper Mill debut, and the season will then continue with the Tony-winning Christopher Durang play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

In spring 2015 Paper Mill Playhouse will once again partner with Disney Theatrical Productions to present the U.S. premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, inspired by the Victor Hugo novel and created for the stage by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. Hunchback is produced in association with La Jolla Playhouse.

Paper Mill will close its 76th season with the world-premiere musical Ever After, which is based on the 1998 film that starred Drew Barrymore. Kathleen Marshall will direct and choreograph.

“What a thrill to produce another show heading for Broadway next season,” said Mark S. Hoebee, producing artistic director for the Millburn theatre, in a statement. “Paper Mill Playhouse is honored to bring so many incredible artists to work in New Jersey next season. The list is remarkable and includes Kathleen Marshall, Patti Colombo, Scott Schwartz, David Lee, legendary composers Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz (lyrics), future theatrical legends like Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler and our producing partners Jonathan Burrows and Kevin McCollum. We are proud to have created an irresistible lineup of stories you will love, glorious music that will warm your heart and many memorable moments of theater magic.” The season at a glance follows:

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

'Will Vanya and Sonia ever find happiness? Will Masha sell the Bucks County farmhouse out from under them? And will Spike ever put his pants on?' —USA Today. Touching and wickedly, hysterically funny."
