News Paper Mill's New Season Has The Little Mermaid, A Chorus Line and Thoroughly Modern Millie Disney's The Little Mermaid will flip its fins in the New York metropolitan area once again as part of the Paper Mill Playhouse's 2012-2013 season, which also includes A Chorus Line and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The Millburn, NJ, theatre will launch its season with the Tony-winning dance musical A Chorus Line, running Oct. 3-28. It has a score by Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban, and a book by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante.

The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic The Sound of Music, featuring "My Favorite Things" and "Climb Every Mountain," will follow Nov. 23-Dec. 30. Ken Ludwig's operatic backstage comedy Lend Me A Tenor will be presented Feb. 13-March 10, 2013.

The Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, with music by Jeanine Tesori and Dick Scanlan, will tap its way onto the Paper Mill stage April 10-May 5, 2013.

Closing the season will be Disney's The Little Mermaid, running May 29-June 30, 2013. It features music by Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater and Oscar winner Howard Ashman, and a book by Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife).

Mark S. Hoebee is producing artistic director of the Paper Mill Playhouse, which recently presented the stage premiere of Disney's Newsies, set to arrive on Broadway this spring.
