Pasadena's Musical Theatre Guild will open its third season of "Broadway in Concert" with an Aug. 17 staging of Over Here!, the Richard Sherman-Robert Sherman-Will Holt World War II big band musical. Gordon Hunt (Helen's father) will direct a cast featuring Teri Ralston (Company, A Little Night Music), Lorna Patterson (TV's "Private Benjamin") and Amanda McBroom. The two Shermans wrote the lyrics and music to the musical, while Holt wrote the book. The 1974, Tony-nominated musical originally starred John Travolta, Treat Williams, Marilu Henner, Ann Reinking and Janie Sell, who won the Tony for her performance.

The "Broadway in Concert" series will continue on Oct. 19 with Carnival, directed by Susan Watson, followed by Bells Are Ringing (Feb. 1, 1999), I Remember Mama (Mar. 29, 1999), and Passion (Jun. 7, 1999).
