News Pasek and Paul's Dogfight Gets Australian Premiere Today Dogfight, the musical by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Peter Duchan that follows three Marines the night before their deployment, gets its Australian premiere today.

The musical will continue through May 31 at the Hayes Theatre in Sydney.

Dogfight, based on the Warner Bros. film and screenplay by Bob Comfort, features music and lyrics by Tony Award nominees Pasek and Paul, and a book by Duchan.

Neil Gooding will direct a cast that includes Johanna Allen, Hilary Cole, Toby Francis, Emily Havea, Haydan Hawkins, Luigi Lucente, Kyle Sapsford, Mark Simpson, Jack Van Staveren and Rowan Witt.

Here's how the production is billed: "The whole d*mn world might change tomorrow. So we go for broke today. November 21, 1963. On the night before their deployment to Vietnam, three young Marines set out for one final boys' night of debauchery. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, the unassuming and idealistic waitress he enlists to win a cruel bet, she rewrites the rules of the game and opens his eyes to what really matters in life."

Dogfight will feature choreography by Nathan M. Wright and lighting design by Ross Graham. Isaac Hayward will provide musical direction. Dogfight played a critically acclaimed run at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre in New York in 2012. It has since received productions in Fair Lawn, NJ; Seattle; Chicago; and London, among others.
