Errico will join the National Symphony Orchestra for an all-Gershwin concert at Wolf Trap July 13. Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch will conduct the orchestra.
The 8:15 PM concert will also feature pianist Kevin Cole.
Attendees can expect to hear Gershwin's "An American in Paris," "Embraceable You," "Rhapsody in Blue" and more.
About her upcoming concert, singing actress Errico told Playbill.com, "I'm so excited to work with Marvin Hamlisch again! The last time I worked with him I was very pregnant with the first of my three daughters, and it was in a show called Salute To The Silver Screen. I had a chance to re-create Eliza Doolittle, all knocked up, and sang so many great movie songs including 'Over The Rainbow' and 'Wind Beneath My Wings.' We also debuted my Michel Legrand arrangements from my symphonic CD... and 'Windmills of Your Mind' was especially such a thrill to hear live. The NSO was magical. That was long before the CD was released! 'Legrand Affair' is finally out, and I am so grateful it has been received so well, but I will always remember that Marvin Hamlisch was the first to conduct those original orchestrations. Now onto Gershwin, this is really an honor!"
