News Patina Miller, Carolee Carmello and Jerry Zaks Set for Sister Act Event at 92YTribeca Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Sister Act star Patina Miller will join Tony-winning director Jerry Zaks and two-time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello to discuss and perform from the disco-fueled musical Jan. 24 at 92YTribeca.

Time Out New York's Adam Feldman will host the noon event that will feature Miller, who originated the role of Deloris Van Cartier in London and now repeats her work for Broadway audiences. Director Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls, The Addams Family) and the production's new Mother Superior, Carmello (Parade, Lestat, Mamma Mia!), will also participate. Stage Entertainment, along with Whoopi Goldberg, who starred in the 1992 film comedy about a nun on the run, are among the lead producers of the 1970s-set musical that has been rewritten for Broadway audiences.

Sister Act has a Tony-nominated score by Academy Award winner Alan Menken and Glenn Slater. The Broadway production has a book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.
