Soprano Patricia Racette has joined the lineup for the Los Angeles Opera's 20th-anniversary gala on April 19.

The gala, titled Plšcido Domingo and Friends, will feature the tenor singing Act IV of Verdi's Otello with Racette as Desdemona. Domingo will also conduct the Act II "Party Scene" From Strauss' Die Fledermaus.

The Die Fledermaus scene will feature, among others, soprano Cynthia Lawrence as Rosalinde, mezzo-soprano Lucy Schaufer as Prince Orlovsky, tenor Malcolm MacKenzie as Frank, and baritones Earle Patriarco as Falke and Rod Gilfry as Eisenstein.

Other "surprise party guests" are also on the lineup.
