News Patti LuPone and Angela Bassett Tapped for TV's "American Horror Story: Coven" Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone will be part of the third season of FX's "American Horror Story," creator Ryan Murphy tweeted May 12.

"American Horror Story: Coven" will film in several locations, among them, New Orleans. Filming is expected to begin this summer.

In addition to LuPone (Evita, Gypsy, Les Misérables), Murphy revealed that The Mountaintop star Angela Bassett would also appear in the third season of the popular horror series.

Murphy tweeted,"Two legends are joining the cast of American Horror Story: Coven -- Oscar nominee Angela Bassett and Tony winner Patti LuPone!"

LuPone previously worked with Murphy when she appeared on the popular Fox musical series "Glee."

The upcoming season of "American Horror Story" will also feature Kathy Bates alongside cast members from the previous seasons, including Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe and Sarah Paulson.

LuPone is also among headliners on the 2013 Playbill Broadway On the High Seas Cruise this summer.
