PlayBlog Patti Murin and Josh Segarra Talk Lysistrata Jones' Broadway Transfer (Video) Patti Murin and Josh Segarra, who played the lead roles of Lysistrata and Mick, in the Off-Broadway pop musical Lysistrata Jones, will reprise their performances when the musical makes the jump to the Broadway stage Nov. 12 at the Walter Kerr Theatre, with an official opening Dec. 14.

The complete cast from the Off-Broadway production will join Murin and Segarra in the musical comedy by book writer and Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (Sister Act, The Little Dog Laughed) and composer-lyricist Lewis Flinn. Here, while on break from their commercial shoot, the two leading actors talk about the production, directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges, and making the transfer to Broadway.

Here's how the Off-Broadway production was billed: "The Athens University basketball team hasn't won a game in 30 years. But when spunky transfer student Lysistrata Jones dares the squad's fed-up girlfriends to stop 'giving it up' to their boyfriends until they win a game, their legendary losing streak could be coming to an end."
