News Paul Schoeffler Is Arthur in Ft. Worth Camelot Jan. 27-Feb. 1; Bradley Dean and Deven May Threaten A regional mini-trend of reviving Camelot continues Jan. 27-Feb. 1 with Casa Manana's new staging in Ft. Worth, TX, featuring Paul Schoeffler as King Arthur, Bradley Dean and Lancelot and Jenn Morse as Guenevere.

Performances of the Alan Jay Lerner-Frederick Loewe classic play Bass Hall. Arena Stage in Washington, DC, recently mounted the romantic musical about love and betrayal in the context of dawning democracy. Geva Theatre in Rochester, NY, will present an unrelated revival in spring. Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey revived the work in 2003.

A Broadway revival adapted by Edward Hall is in development as a vehicle for Liam Neeson.

In Ft. Worth, Deven May, Off-Broadway's Bat Boy, plays Mordred, who foments revolution in King Arthur's court.

Schoeffler is widely known for playing Capt. Hook opposite Cathy Rigby's Peter Pan on tour and on Broadway.

Dean's Broadway credits include Man of La Mancha as Anselmo, in which he understudied Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Jane Eyre. Morse performed in the world premiere of Frank Wildhorn's Dracula at La Jolla Playhouse.

Camelot is directed by Casa Manana's president and executive producer, Denton Yockey.

Musical direction is by Eugene Gwozdz. Designers are Bob Lavallee (set), Royce Renfro (costume coordination), Jay Isham (lighting) and Ryan Mansfield (sound).
