News Paul Weitz Play Roulette Added to NYS&F Line-Up at Vassar; Bierko Stars A new play by screenwriter Paul Weitz will be presented by the 2003 New York Stage and Film summer season at Vassar College's Powerhouse Theatre. Called Roulette, it will run at the Powerhouse Theater Aug. 1-3, under the direction of Jace Alexander.

Roulette concerns a suburban father who think a good way to stir up his life is with a good round of Russian roulette. Needless to say, there is some fallout.

Craig Bierko (The Music Man) stars. Also in the cast are Mark Blum, Matt Bomer, Merritt Weaver, Carolyn McCormick and Maddie Corman.

Weitz wrote the screenplays to the films "American Pie" and "About a Boy."

In other news, there have been some changes to the July 25-27 reading series. Previously announced works by Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros and David Marshall Grant will not be presented. In their place are airings of songs by David Cale (once scheduled for the June 20-22 reading series) and a screenplay by Miriam Kazdin. The line-up now runs:

Except My Life by Nicole Burdette
Getting Naked, a screenplay by Miriam Kazdin
This Ball of Mud and Fire by Anton Dudley
Sweetness by Gary Sunshine Remaining Second Stage plays include: The New Americans (Aug. 1 3) by Cindy Lou Johnson, directed by Sheryl Kaller.
