Playwright Paula Vogel will drop by New York's Drama Book Shop on Jan. 7, 1999 to sign copies of her drama, How I Learned to Drive. The event will take place 5-7 PM. How I Learned to Drive copped Vogel the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It began its run at Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre in early 1997 and soon transferred to an extended, commercial run, netting the play nearly every prize in NY theatre, including the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Lucille Lortel Award.
Vogel's other plays include Desdemona , The Baltimore Waltz and the upcoming The Mineola Twins.
The Drama Book Shop is located at 723 Seventh Avenue, 2nd floor.
