The concert from Kinky Boots Tony winner Porter will air April 3. TV watchers can expect selections from the singing actor's latest solo album and a guest appearance by Kinky Boots composer Cyndi Lauper. The evening also features music direction by James Sampliner and direction for television by Andrew C. Wilk.
The American Songbook concert featuring Porgy and Bess Tony nominee Lewis, who is currently on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera, will be broadcast April 10. The evening was directed for the stage by Richard Jay-Alexander, with musical direction by Joseph Joubert, and directed for television by Annette Jolles.
Six-time Tony Award-winning actress and singer Audra McDonald continues as the host of the series.
