News Pedi and Murphy to Offer Great Dames and The Torch Goddess Jan. 11 and 12 Funny gals Christine Pedi and Karen Murphy will join forces for three performances of Great Dames and The Torch Goddess at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The two singing actresses, according to a press release, will offer an "evening of mayhem" for audiences at the cabaret located within the West Bank Cafe. Show times are Jan. 11 at 8 PM and Jan. 12 at 8 and 11 PM. Fred Barton will accompany both Pedi and Murphy and will join each for duets.

The duo will be joined by special guest John Treacy Egan, currently on Broadway in The Little Mermaid, for the 11 PM show Jan. 12.

On Broadway Christine Pedi has been seen in Talk Radio and in the Martin Short revival of Little Me. She has performed in more than a dozen companies of Forbidden Broadway and earned Drama Desk and Ovation Award nominations for her work in Forbidden Hollywood. She was also seen Off-Broadway in A Broadway Diva Christmas.

Karen Murphy's Broadway credits include All Shook Up, 42nd Street and Titanic. She has also been seen in Torch Goddess and Zombie Prom.

The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum; for reservations call (212) 695-6909.
