The Pearl's season also includes The Cave Dwellers by William Saroyan, directed by Shepard Sobel, running Feb. 23-April 8. After that is Biography by S.N. Behrman, directed by J.R. Sullivan, which runs April 13-May 20. The cast for Toys in the Attic includes members of the Pearl's resident acting company for 2006-07 — Rachel Botchan, Robin Leslie Brown, Joanne Camp, and Sean McNall — and the guest actors Robert Colston, RJ Foster, Jon Froehlich, Marcus Naylor, Ivy Vahanian and William White.

Scenic design is by Harry Feiner, lighting design is by Stephen Petrilli, sound design is by Sara Bader and costume design is by Barbara A. Bell.

Pendleton appeared in a 1967 Broadway revival of Hellman's The Little Foxes and directed a Broadway production of the play in 1981. Pendleton debuted on Broadway in 1964 as the original Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, and appeared most recently on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank and Grand Hotel. His most recent Broadway directing gig was Spoils of War.

He has numerous Off Broadway credits, winning an Obie Award for The Last Sweet Days of Isaac and appearing this past summer in the Public Theater's Mother Courage and Her Children in Central Park opposite Meryl Streep. He wrote the play Orson's Shadow, which played the Barrow Street Theatre in 2005. His many screen acting credits include " Finding Nemo," the television series "Oz" and "Homicide: Life on the Street" and the role of the jittery lawyer in "My Cousin Vinny."

The Pearl is currently showing George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man through Dec. 23 and Molière's School For Wives through Dec. 24.
