News Peter Friedman and Mare Winningham Will Head Cast of LCT3's Her Requiem Lincoln Center Theater has announced full casting for the LCT3 world premiere of Greg Pierce's Her Requiem, directed by Kate Whoriskey. Among the cast are Broadway vet Peter Friedman (Twelve Angry Men, Ragtime) and Emmy winner and Oscar and Tony nominee Mare Winningham (Casa Valentina, "American Horror Story").

In the new play, the two will play the parents of Caitlin, a high school senior who takes a year off to compose a full-scale requiem. Here's how the new work is billed: "Inspired by her dedication, her father, Dean (Friedman), becomes obsessed with requiems and the people who love them, while her mother, Allison (Winningham), becomes concerned about Caitlin’s isolation from everyone aside from her music teacher. As their once-cozy Vermont home becomes a nexus for lost souls, Dean and Allison must confront the fact that their daughter’s project is destroying their family."

Her Requiem will begin previews Feb. 6 with an opening night set for Feb. 22. Performances are set to run through March 20 at the Claire Tow Theater.

The full cast includes Keilly McQuail, Naian Gonzalez Norvind, Robbie Collier Sublett and Joyce Van Patten.

The production will have sets by Derek McLane, costumes by Jessica Pabst, lighting by Amith Chandrashaker and sound by Josh Schmidt.
