Several theatre favorites — including Tony Award winners Bernadette Peters, Angela Lansbury and Tyne Daly — can be heard on a new live recording honoring veteran theatre composer Jerry Herman.

Taped live in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, 2001, "Tap Your Troubles Away!" features 29 Herman tunes sung by such theatrical luminaries as Carol Channing, Leslie Uggams, Lee Roy Reams, Douglas Sills, Hugh Panaro, Sam Harris, Karen Morrow and more than a dozen others. The two-disc recording, available from LML Records (www.lmlmusic.com), will benefit the Actors' Fund of America with more than 80% of the proceeds going to the nonprofit organization.

"I’ll Be Here Tomorrow" - Jerry Herman One of the theatre's most celebrated composers, Jerry Herman has written the scores for such Broadway musicals as Milk and Honey; Hello, Dolly!; Mame; Dear World; Mack & Mabel; The Grand Tour and La Cage aux Folles. He also contributed songs to A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, and revues of his work include Jerry's Girls and An Evening with Jerry Herman. The songwriter won Tony Awards for his scores for Hello, Dolly! and La Cage aux Folles. A new revue of Herman's work, Showtune, recently played the Helen Hayes Theatre Company in Nyack, New York.
