Beginning Jan. 31, interested theatre lovers will be able to listen to these living legends discuss their signature roles. The podcasts will be available through both iTunes.com and MasterworksBroadway.com. The Lansbury podcast will debut Jan. 31, followed by Cook (Feb. 14), Peters (Feb. 18) and Rivera (March 14).
According to a release, the women will "discuss each of their famed performances with behind the scenes insight about the shows interspersed with music from the Legends of Broadway recordings. These podcasts offer a truly unique experience for the audience, beyond the music that can be enjoyed time and again on the CDs. The podcasts give a modern twist to a retro-style radio show format, for an intimate 'infotainment' type package."
Peters is a two-time Tony Award winner for her work in Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun. Rivera won Tonys for her performances in The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman — The Musical.
