The Broadway and touring productions of The Phantom of the Opera will be holding auditions in both Santa Fe, NM, and San Francisco.

CAST INCLUDES:

Christine Daae: 20s: A light, floaty soprano, she sings briefly to High E. Young romantic lead.

The Phantom: 30s-40s: High Baritone or Tenor from low A Flat to high A Flat. Dynamic, bravura, charismatic performer.

Raoul Vicomte de Chagny: Late 20s-early 30s. High Baritone (2 octave range from A Flat to A Flat). Young romantic lead. Firmin and Andre: Late 30s-50s: The managers of the Paris Opera House. Good supporting roles. Baritones: one sings to A, one to G.

Carlotta Guidicelli: 30s-early 40s: Coloratura Soprano, to Hight E. A Diva.

Madame Giry: Late 30s-early 40s: Mezzo Soprano to High B Flat. The Ballet Mistress.

Ubaldo Piangi: Late 30s-50s: Italian style singer, sings to High C. Prototype: "The Three Tenors."

And singers for all vocal chorus ensemble positions: Tenors, Baritones, Basses, Lyric and Coloratura Sopranos, Mezzos and Contraltos.

Audition Dates: Monday, August 12 (Santa Fe, New Mexico) and Wednesday, August 14 (San Francisco, California)

Audition Times: Sign up: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Audition begin at 10:30 a.m.

Audition Location: SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: 466 Geary (across the street from the curran theatre), San Francisco, CA

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO: Santa Fe Community Theatre, 142 DeVargas Street (between Old Santa Fe Trail and Don Gaspar Street), Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Producers asks that you sing from the standard legit musical theatres/opera/operetta repertoire and also to bring sheet music as well as a current photo and resume, stapled together. An accompanist will be provided.
