A tractor trailer containing set pieces from the Phantom tour was stolen from a parking lot in Hartford, CT - on route to the tour's return engagement at Hartford's Bushnell.

A thousand dollar reward is being offered by trucking company Stagecall Tours for any information leading to the recovery of the trailer. The Phantom Company is matching the reward.

The missing pieces have an estimated value of $500,000 and include the shipping crates containing an unassembled mock proscenium, used for the touring show to recreate the look of the Paris Opera House. When assembled, the proscenium weighs 2.5 tons and contains 25 sculptures, including the angel centerpiece.

But as the old adage goes, "The show must go on" - and it will. Producers hope the missing set pieces will turn up by the engagement's opening date on Dec. 16. If not, replacement pieces will be shipped from another tour until new pieces can be built.

Anyone with information regarding the missing material should call StageCall at 1-800-455-3961.
