The three concerts take place on July 3 at Villanova University, Philadelphia's Penn's Landing on July 5, and Camden, New Jersey, on July 7.
Repertoire includes Borodin's Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, Dvoršk's Carnival Overture, Beethoven's Egmont Overture, Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 ("Italian"), and Stravinsky's Suite from The Firebird. Philadelphia Orchestra associate conductor Rossen Milanov will conduct.
Elizabeth Warshawer, the PO's interim executive director, said, "Each summer the Philadelphia Orchestra's neighborhood concerts bring the power of orchestral music to new audiences in different neighborhoods across the Philadelphia region."
