News Philly's Bristol Riverside Hauls Out the Holly for Once Upon a December, Dec. 8-18
Bristol Riverside Theatre in suburban Philadelphia presents its third annual "winter musicale," Once Upon a December, Dec. 8-18.

The concert of seasonal favorites is sung by veterans of BRT's summer musicale shows.

Sharon Alexander has been seen for the past five summers in BRT's Summer Musicale Series and has made numerous mainstage appearances. Philip Chaffin, known for his solo CDs on the PS Classics label, first came to BRT for Brigadoon and has returned for many shows. Lynette Knapp was first seen in A Little Night Music and was married at BRT on Oct. 31, 2004. She was in last season's Olympus On My Mind. Keith Spencer is a veteran of the Summer Musicale Series and was also part of last season's I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm. Beat Kaestli and Ellen Bullinger became instant BRT favorites when they appeared in Over the Rainbow.

Edward Keith Baker directs and musical directs the show that he wrote and created.

The design team includes lighting designer Charles S. Reece, costume designer Linda Bee Stockton and sound designer Daniel A. Little.

The band includes Edward Keith Baker (conductor/keyboards), Robert Gargiullo (bass), Lawrence Jacobs (percussion), Neil Nemetz (guitars). The song list includes "White Christmas," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "I Wonder as I Wander," the Ahrens and Flaherty song "Once Upon a December" (from the film "Anastasia"), "God Bless Us Everyone" (by Menken and Ahrens from A Christmas Carol), "Santa Baby," "The First Chanukah Night," "Chanukah," "O Holy Night," "Baby, It's Cold Outside," a new song by Edward Keith Baker, "Through the Eyes of a Child," and more.
