Celebrating Birthday Boy Michael Rupert on the New York Stage Tony Award winner Michael Rupert, back on Broadway in the new revival of On the Town, celebrates his birthday Oct. 23. We look back on a Broadway career spanning 40 years, beginning with his debut at age 16 in The Happy Time.

Rupert's Broadway credits include Pippin, Shakespeare's Cabaret, Mail, Sweet Charity, City of Angels, Falsettos, Ragtime and Legally Blonde.

He won a Tony for his performance in the 1986 revival of Sweet Charity, also earning nominations for The Happy Time and Falsettos.
