In typical Shepard fashion a midwestern farm couple (Randy Quaid and J. Smith-Cameron) are forced to deal with the encroachment on their way of life from the modern world, this time in the form of actor Tim Roth playing a government agent who has a mighty penchant for inflicting pain. Many of Shepard's friends and collaborators from his long career attended the opening night party at the Ramscale Penthouse on West Street in New York City. Among them were Ethan Hawke, Roth, Liev Schrieber, Quaid and his wife Evi.

God of Hell is directed by Lou Jacob and is scheduled to perform through Nov. 29.
