Broadway Bares: Winter Burlesque, the steamy theatrical striptease show that benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, held two performances.
The 2013 Broadway Bares season (leading to its major June event Broadway Bares 23) kicked off Jan. 27 with Winter Burlesque at XL Nightclub at 512 W. 42nd Street. It "will recreate last summer's Fire Island Pines sensation, Broadway Bares: Beach Burlesque" and feature "more than 25 of Broadway Bares' sexiest dancers in a sizzling collection of choreographed stripteases." The show was followed by Bares' famous "rotation," where the performers freestyle dance for donations. The rotation was by Broadway Bares favorite Jen Cody.

The event, organized by Nattalyee Randall and Courtney Daniels, will feature such guest speakers as Broadway for Racial Justice founder Brandon Michael Nase and AFECT co-founder Eden Espinosa.
Betty Buckley, Matthew Broderick, André De Shields, Jane Krakowski, Bernadette Peters, and Lillias White are also part of The York Theatre Company benefit.
