News PHOTO CALL: Aaron Tveit in Rehearsal For Menier Chocolate Factory's Assassins Broadway's Aaron Tveit is to make his U.K. theatre debut to play John Wilkes Booth in the Menier Chocolate Factory's production of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, which begins performances Nov. 21 prior to an official opening Dec. 1, for a run that is booking through March 7, 2015.

Also newly announced are Jamie Parker, Harry Morrison and Stewart Clarke, joining the previously announced Carly Bawden, Simon Lipkin, Mike McShane, Andy Nyman, David Roberts and Catherine Tate.

Aaron Tveit in Rehearsal For Menier Chocolate Factory's Assassins


Tveit, who was acclaimed for his role in the original Broadway production of Next to Normal, has also starred on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can and appeared in Wicked and Hairspray. He has appeared in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl and on national tour. On TV, he is currently starring in the TV police drama "Graceland" and recently played Enjolras in the film version of "Les Miserables." He has appeared in cabaret at 54 Below. Other TV work includes a recurring role in "Gossip Girl" and appearances in "The Good Wife," "Law & Order: SVU," "Body of Proof" and "Ugly Betty."

Parker, who will play Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald, previously appeared at the Menier Chocolate Factory in Proof. He recently starred as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at Chichester Festival Theatre, for which he has been nominated for a 2014 UK Theatre Award. He was seen in London and on Broadway as part of the original company of Alan Bennett's The History Boys, and subsequently in the film version as well.

Morrison, who will play John Hinckley, has been seen at Chichester in Guys and Dolls and Kiss Me, Kate and at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park in The Sound of Music and Crazy for You. 

Clarke, who plays Giuseppe Zangara, has recently been seen in The Return of the Soldier at Jermyn Street Theatre. He was seen in the West End in Loserville and on a U.K. tour in Ghost the Musical.

Also in the company are Marc Akinfolarin, Greg Miller Burns and Melle Stewart as bystanders.
