The actor begins his run in the role March 3 at the Palace Theatre. Spamalot, the 2005 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, is directed by Mike Nichols. Eric Idle based the musical's book on the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" — which he penned with fellow Pythons Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
