Andrew Lippa, composer of Off-Broadway's The Wild Party, received the 2000 Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Theatre Foundation Award Oct. 30 at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center. Celso Gonzalez-Falla (left) and Sondra Gilman founded the $25,000 cash award to recognize promising composers and lyricists creating new American musical theatre. Prior to Wild Party, Lippa provided additional songs for the recent revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and did the arrangements for the same. His john & jen was produced by Carolyn Rossi-Copeland at the Lamb's Theater in 1995 and recorded by Varese Sarabande.
