Baz Luhrmann's staging of the classic Puccini opera about doomed bohemians is set in 1957 Paris opened at the Broadway Theatre Dec. 8 after a pre-Broadway run in San Francisco. Luhrmann's interpretation is triple-cast with color-coded rotating casts — the "Red" (Ekaterina Solovyeva as Mimi and David Miller as Rodolfo), the "White" (Wei Huang as Mimi and Alfred Boe as Rodolfo) and the "Blue" (Lisa Hopkins as Mimi and Jesus Garcia as Rodolfo).
