Andrea McArdle and Brian Stokes Mitchell were among the theatre celebrities at the second annual Broadway Barks event. The rescheduled Barks benefit took over Shubert Alley July 22, in place of the original July 15 event, which was cancelled because of wind and rain. Broadway Barks encourages adopting abandoned or lost pets through FIDONYC (www.fidonyc.org), an animal welfare organization, founded two years ago by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore. Among Broadway stars in attendence were Bebe Neuwirth, Patrick Stewart, Tom Wopat, Joel Grey, Adam Pascal, Heather Headley and Howard McGillin.
