News PHOTO CALL: Broadway Impact Celebrates the End of Prop 8 Broadway Impact celebrated the over-ruling of California's Proposition 8 with a mini-concert and party at the Manhattan bar Therapy on Aug. 9.

The party featured a question-and-answer session regarding the ruling with former advisor to President Clinton, Richard Socarides. The current Miss New York, Claire Buffie, also spoke at the event. Miss Buffie is running for Miss America on a gay rights platform for the first time in Miss America history. Shayna Steele (Rent, Hairspray, Bette Midler's Harlettes) was on hand to perform at the party along Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Larry Pressgrove of [title of show] who performed a special version of Pat Benetar's "We Belong".
