News PHOTO CALL: Broadway's Chaplin Offers Benefit Performance for NYC Firefighters Charity The new Broadway musical Chaplin, based on the life of screen legend Charlie Chaplin, hosted a benefit performance Nov. 9 for the NYC Firefighters charity, Lil' Bravest Inc., which raises money for children with diseases.

The Lil' Bravest was started by a group of firefighters from Engine 84 and Ladder 34 in honor of two of their "brothers," Rory O'flaherty and John "Sully" Sullivan, who they lost in 2010. The organization's goal is to improve the quality of life for children who are hospitalized or being treated for childhood diseases.

Here's how producers bill Chaplin: "From the slums of London to the heights of Hollywood, Chaplin is the showbiz Broadway musical about the silent film legend the world couldn’t stop talking about — Charlie Chaplin.
