News PHOTO CALL: Carmello and Rush Honored with Sardi's Caricatures Carolee Carmello and Geoffrey Rush were both honored May 19 with caricatures that now grace the walls of Sardi's.

Broadway veteran Carmello is currently starring in Mamma Mia!, and Academy Award winner Rush is making his Broadway debut in Exit the King.

Carolee Carmello received a Tony nomination for her work in Lestat and a Drama Desk Award and a Tony nomination for her performance in Lincoln Center's Parade. She has also starred on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate; The Scarlet Pimpernel; 1776; City of Angels; and Falsettos.

Rush became the first Australian-born actor to win an Oscar, taking home the top prize in 1996 for his performance in "Shine." Other film work includes "Les Misérables," "Elizabeth," "Quills," and "Shakespeare in Love." His extensive stage experience in his native country includes numerous productions with Company B, the Queensland Theatre Company and the Brisbane Arts Theatre. He is a 2009 Tony nominee.
