News PHOTO CALL: Christine Ebersole Opens at the Cafe Carlyle Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole returned to the Cafe Carlyle Jan. 20, where she is currently playing a two-week engagement through Jan. 31.

Scott Wittman directs the evening, which features an all-new program of classics, new classics and songs from the stage. Expect songs by Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac. Musical director John Oddo leads a quintet. Ebersole was honored with the Tony Award, the Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and an Obie for her performance in Grey Gardens. She previously won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Dorothy Brock in the hit revival of 42nd Street and received an additional Tony nomination for Dinner at Eight. She will next star on Broadway in the upcoming revival of Blithe Spirit.

The Café Carlyle is located in The Carlyle Hotel at 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue. There is a $50 music charge for the Tuesday-Thursday performances and a $65 music charge for the Friday and Saturday performances. For reservations call (212) 744-1600 or visit www.thecarlyle.com.
