Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park with George) directs the production that runs through June 6 at the Princeton, New Jersey venue. Take Flight, according to the McCarter, "blends fact and fiction to tell the interweaving stories of three pioneers of aeronautics: the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart."
Colella stars as Amelia Earhart opposite Cumpsty as George Putnam in a cast that also featurse Claybourne Elder as Charles Lindbergh, Stanton Nash as Wilbur Wright and Benjamin Schrader as Orville Wright.
The ensemble includes Carey Brown, Bobby Daye, Linda Gabler, Marya Grandy, Todd A. Horman, Price Waldman and William Youmans.
The Max Martin musical features a number of his most beloved songs, including “…Baby One More Time,” “Roar,” “Since U Been Gone,” “It’s My Life,” “I Want It That Way,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” and more.
