Filmmaker David Furnish and Elton John attended the Broadway opening of John's Aida March 23 at the Palace Theatre. Furnish, who shot his "Tantrums and Tiaras" on the subject of John, have been together for six years. With music by pop star John and lyrics from Tim Rice, Disney's Aida, the tragic tale of love between Nubian slave and an Egyptian warrior betrothed to another, opened March 23 at the Palace Theatre. Heather Headley stars as the doomed slave girl with Adam Pascal as her lover. Sherie Renee Scott plays Pascal's fiancee, an Egyptian princess.
