After leading Trinity Repertory Company to nationally known status, Eustis became the fourth leader of the Public earlier this year. Groff’s play centers around Ruby, a young girl who may have invented the television in 1927, “yet is denied her place in history,” according to production notes. At left, Eustis, and cast members Marin Ireland, Jason Butler Harner, Maggie Siff and Audra Blaser are seen at the opening night party hosted by Candela on East 16th Street in New York City. Below, co-star Richard Masur enjoys the party and playwright Groff is surrounded by the cast earlier in the evening during their curtain call at the Public Theater.
