News PHOTO CALL: Extinction Opens Off-Broadway Stars James Roday, Michael Weston, Amanda Detmer and Stefanie E. Frame celebrated the Off-Broadway opening of Gabe McKinley's drama Extinction Feb. 17 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Wayne Kasserman, who staged the 2009 Los Angeles run, re-creates the piece at the Cherry Lane. Extinction, according to press notes, is "about what transpires between two college buddies whose annual outing of male-bonding and debauchery veers precipitously off course when unmet expectations spiral into a volatile showdown."

The Los Angeles cast — Roday ("Psych"), Weston ("House"), Detmer ("What About Brian") and Frame — continue with the show in its New York incarnation.
