Martin Short in Fame Becomes Me.

Conceived by Short, along with Hairspray's Tony-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, Fame Becomes Me is a comedy with music that takes on a very unique form as – according to press materials – “Short frantically modifies his life story as he and the cast tell it, adding the requisite struggle, pain and psychobabble to fabricate an increasingly hilarious alternative autobiography."

At left and below, Short is seen alongside cast members Mary Birdsong, Brooks Ashmanskas, Nicole Parker and Shaiman during the show’s try-out run. The production will also hit Toronto and Chicago before it’s Broadway opening on Aug. 10.
