News PHOTO CALL: First Look at Sierra Boggess as Christine in Broadway's Phantom Sierra Boggess, who originated the role of soprano Christine Daaé in London's Love Never Dies, the sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, will join the Broadway company of Phantom on Jan. 21, playing the same role for a limited engagement.

Her appearance will coincide with the long-running musical's 25th anniversary at the Majestic Theatre on Broadway. Boggess will play love scenes with Hugh Panaro as The Phantom and Kyle Barisich as Raoul.

Boggess' history with the musical began when she originated the role of Christine in the revised Las Vegas production in 2006. She also played Christine for the London production’s 25th anniversary, which was marked by a special staging at The Royal Albert Hall in October 2011. The actress recently stared as Fantine in Cameron Mackintosh's record-breaking London production of Les Misérables.

The Broadway production's 25th anniversary will be marked by a Special Gala Performance the night of Jan. 26. While many of the evening's details are being kept under wraps, the special night will begin with an early 6:30 PM performance.
